We have been ministering to Calvary Bible Church, to Neligh, NE, and to Antelope County for ten years.
Calvary Bible Church
Calvary Bible Church started in the late 1970s as Antelope County Baptist Church. The name change came in the late 80’s. The church has fluctuated from around 100 people at its height to 15 at its lowest. We are currently averaging 63 in attendance. There are regular Sunday services and Sunday school each week. The church hosts a weekly youth program and regular fellowship meals. They also prioritize quarterly outreaches, including hosting the county fair community church service.
Neligh, NE
Neligh, the county seat of Antelope County, has a population of just over 1600. Being the largest town in the county and home of the county’s government, it is the center of life in the county. The town has a hospital, nursing home, funeral home, fairgrounds, county sheriff's office, and government offices. All these are opportunities for sharing Christ’s love as a missionary to the community.
Antelope County
Antelope County has a population of 6456. Of this population, 31% are Catholic and 26% are non-religious. The number of nonreligious has doubled between 2000 and 2010. Calvary Bible Church carries a distinction as one of the only churches in the county that teaches a Gospel of grace. We strive to reach this county through school activities, nursing home ministry, food pantry participation, and other community events.
